Alright so I tried to release SL Friends Monitor yesterday but the install is obviously causing a lot of problems I assume because it was created with the crappy default installer that comes with VB6. Since I'm on Windows 7, it clearly wanted everyone else to be on Windows 7 as well so most users were unable to install the program as I could see by the numerous emails in my inbox today. Because of that reason, I've decided to discontinue the SL Friends Monitor which I'm sure Linden Lab will be happy to hear. Sorry about that folks - I gave it a shot and lost!

Fake newbie causing trouble? No thank you!

Alright so from time to time we get these trolls on our site that keep themselves busy with creating fake accounts as it clearly was the case with CB. I have no doubt that this person located in Australia (according to their IP) will come back just because it's fun to cause trouble and I will have no issues removing them from our site again.
I have little respect for people that show no respect towards the admins of this site. Feel free to dog me out, but I won't accept people talking trash about my wife (Jaxi) who dedicates time daily to this site. Unfortunately she has to do all the dirty work on this site to keep it clean as I hardly ever have the time to assist.
Do the same people that complain ever say "thank you" for the fact that she's able to keep this site clean on her own? Next time when you don't see a real porn picture posted on the main page, you might want to wonder why that is!? Believe me, it's not because people comply to our TOS. Jaxi tries to keep an eye on the site while still making sure people have plenty of freedom to do the things they like to do. If we would allow people to talk trash about other members in our blogs, then that is all our blogs would become. What kind of community would that be?
The rules we have are all based on common sense. If you don't have common sense or don't agree with the TOS, leave, it's that simple!

What is Relay For Life?
Relay For Life is a fun-filled overnight event designed to celebrate survivorship and raise money for research and programs of the American Cancer Society. During the event, teams of people gather at schools, fairgrounds, or parks and take turns walking or running laps. Each team tries to keep at least one team member on the track at all times.
In 2005, the Second Life community, in cooperation with the American Cancer Society, saw fit to re-create a Relay For Life event within the virtual world setting, combining traditional design with new elements afforded by the online social platform. Doing this has allowed the American Cancer Society to reach out to a new demographic, thus expanding their mission. It also enables real people, who might otherwise be physically incapable of participating in a Relay For Life, to get involved in a new way.

The Friends Fighting Cancer group has been doing a tremendous job with the organization of several Relay For Life related events over the last few month. The big Relay For Life event is less than 30 days away so it's time for all of us to help them raise even more.
To help support Relay For Life, you can purchase a ribbon in Second Life at ProfileSLive. After you pay for your ribbon, a ribbon will automatically appear in the left corner of your profile! Your name will also be shown on our Relay For Life page.

XStreetSL Product Feeds
Posted 6/18/2009 9:36:48 PM It seems that LL changed the RSS feeds for XStreetSL again causing product images not to show due a bug in their XML. I've updated ours so it will actually correct their little bug. Thank you all for reporting this issue!

RezTown Closed...

I decided it was truly time to cut some of our losses here in Second Life. RezTown, which clearly never took off, has now officially been closed as of June 13, 2009. I actually put a lot of work in that project so it's never easy to just "delete it all". Who knows ... one day when I'm truly bored, I might take another peek at the entire project. As you'll notice, everything related to RezTown has been removed from this site.

XStreetSL Product Feed Fixed
Posted 3/26/2009 10:31:11 AM Since I didn't feel I was getting anywhere with LL support, I contacted the creator of XStreetSL last night and now it seems that the XStreetSL product feeds are working again. This basically means that you should be able to show your XStreetSL products for sale in your PSL profile again.

XStreetSL Product Feeds Still Broken

As some of you have pointed out to me, the product feeds within your profile are currently not functioning due to the fact that XStreetSL's Product Feeds are currently broken. Linden Lab has acknowledged there is indeed a problem so now it's just waiting until this bug has been fixed on their end. Not sure what's taking so long, let's just hope this isn't gonna go the same route as the Refer-a-friend program which has been broken for 9 months or so. Anyway, fingers crossed!
